Ex- Doctor Accused of Sexual Assault Allegations Against Thirty-Eight Individuals in His Care
Prosecutors report that a ex- physician has been charged with carrying out assaults against thirty-eight victims who were patients.
The Serious Charges
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with numerous acts of sexual assault – comprising some against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021.
One deputy chief CPS official stated, “Our prosecutors have diligently worked to assist a thorough and intricate investigation, carefully reviewing the evidence to establish that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
The Police Inquiry
The charges follow what investigators described as a “detailed inquiry” into alleged assaults at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and Russells Hall hospital.
Spencer will appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on 20 January.

Prosecutors outline the 45 charges include:
- 15 counts of assault.
- 17 counts of assault by penetration.
- Nine counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- 3 counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
- One count of attempted penetrative assault.
