An Australian man who jumped past a barrier and grabbed actress Ariana Grande has been expelled and banned from Singapore.

The individual, twenty-six, was given a sentence to over a week in prison for being a public nuisance and has now been "prohibited from returning to Singapore," the country's border control stated to Singaporean press.

The co-star discussed the incident to NBC, remarking that she "just wanted to verify my colleague was secure."

"I think he had no intention to us harm, but you cannot be certain with those things, and I wanted to make sure that she was alright. That was my first instinct," she said.
