Nico O’Reilly One more assured showing from the rising star after his debut versus Serbia. Saka did not capitalize on the most of a clever backheel behind the opposing backline. His position looks secure already. 7/10

Adam Wharton A debut start in an England shirt. Somewhat loose in possession however his inswinging set-pieces caused problems. An effective pace-controller for the coach to call upon versus teams who drop deep. Shown a yellow for a poorly timed foul. Six

The winger Was presented with England’s clearest opportunity in the opening period, his shot excellently kept out from the opposing goalkeeper. His first a classic poacher’s finish while the second an excellent finish with his head having drifted away away from the opposition. Eberechi Eze Found it tough to influence play from the left. Had a good opening after being played in by Bellingham but Strakosha denied him. His replacement had a greater an impact after coming on. 5/10
